Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford, died on Sunday, age 27, a family representative said in a statement.
\n\nGerber died at a “rehab facility,” according to online records of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. No cause of death or further detail was given.
\n\n“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” a statement on behalf of his family said.
\n\nSupermodel Crawford married business man Rande Gerber in 1998 and the couple have two children.
\n\nGerber and his younger sister, Kaia, both became professional models, featuring in campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana and Calvin Klein, among others.
\n\nAged 18, Presley Gerber featured alongside his mother in a 2018 ad to re-create her iconic 1992 Super Bowl commercial for Pepsi.
\n\nHe and his younger sister have spoken about their mother giving them professional space.
\n\n“She has never lived vicariously through us,” Kaia Gerber said in a family interview with TODAY last year.
\n\n“You are so not a stage mom,” she added, of her mother.
