Ahead of the premiere of the show’s 29th Season, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have announced they are changing the name of the series.

\n\n

“Inspired by the bravery and patriotism of Apple and Google, we are changing the name of ‘South Park’ to ‘South America,'” the pair shared in a statement. “We especially want to thank our parent company Paramount — a Skydance Capitulation.”

The switch is “South Park’s” latest shot at President Donald Trump, whom the show mocked after winning the Creative Arts Emmy award for Outstanding Animated Program for a season that repeatedly skewered him and his administration. That included showing Trump being lovers with Satan à la their earlier roast of Saddam Hussein, as well as portraying Vice President JD Vance as Tattoo from “Fantasy Island.”

It also comes as Trump has repeatedly issued orders to change names of major geographic bodies to include America in the name.
