“Sonic the Hedgehog” is coming to the popular interactive kids’ gaming platform Lingokids this December as part of a larger ongoing partnership with Sega.
\n\nDeveloped as a collaboration between Sega and Lingokids Studios, these five “Sonic” games will combine “fast-paced adventures with playful learning experiences” and feature “Sonic the Hedgehog” characters including Sonic himself, as well as Amy, Eggman and the fan-favorite Chao creatures.
\n\n“Kids can strengthen their spelling and letter recognition skills while discovering action verbs as they race through Green Hill Zone, explore fruits and flowers while guiding Sonic and friends along exciting paths and unleash their creativity by painting colorful scenes with their favorite characters,” according to Lingokids Studios chief Mathias Royer’s description for the suite of games.
\n\nThese games will launch Dec. 3 on Lingokids with five more “Sonic” games slated for release in spring of 2027.
\n\nAccording to Lingokids’ 2026 Kids Interactive Entertainment Report, Sonic the Hedgehog is the second-most popular character among boys ages 3-8. That study also showed that approximately one in six kids who use Lingokids discover new characters on the platform for the first time, and more than half ask to watch movies and shows of characters they encounter on Lingokids.
