Despite Carrie Bradshaw’s reputation for wearing trend-setting outfits, Sarah Jessica Parker never wears any of her “Sex and the City” character’s iconic wardrobe. But she does have it.
\n\n“No, I don’t wear any of the wardrobe that I wore on the show ever. I have it. It’s an archive, but I never wear it. I never have,” Parker told People in a recent interview.
\n\nFor Parker, these one-of-a-kind outfits would feel too much like a costume, especially since they’ve already seen the screen. “There’s a huge separation between myself and Carrie Bradshaw. So it would be like walking around in Sarah Sanderson’s costume,” she continued, referencing her “Hocus Pocus” role. “It doesn’t seem applicable to my life.”
\n\nWhile Bradshaw has laid the character’s wardrobe to rest, she dressed as Bradshaw in the HBO series from 1998 to 2004. Parker revisited the role for two films and the spinoff series, “And Just Like That…,” from 2021 to 2025. Now, audiences have officially said goodbye to Bradshaw and all her iconic outfits. Parker bid her character an emotional farewell on social media when the spinoff ended.
