“The Great British Bake Off” co-host Alison Hammond is reassuring fans that she’s “fine” after making a swift exit from her gig on ITV’s “This Morning” due to a health scare.
\n\n“Hello, my lovelies,” Hammond said in a video posted to her Instagram Stories later Friday. In the clip, which is overlaid with the text “Anything to have a day off,” Hammond is seen lying down in a bed wearing a hospital gown.
\n\n“I know you’re all worried about me. Honestly, I am fine, first of all,” Hammond says. “But I’m getting my old ticker checked out. I had a little bit of a palpitation, and now I’m getting it all checked out. But I think I’m OK. I’m hoping it was just a little panic attack or something like that. I love you all. Thank you for all your lovely messages.”
\n\nHammond was on screen with “This Morning” co-host Dermot O’Leary when she experienced the episode, and after the following ad break, O’Leary told viewers she had to “duck out” because she was feeling “unwell.”
