Pamela Abdy, Adria Arjona, Beth de Araújo, Gemma Chan and Salma Hayek Pinault will be saluted at this year’s WIF Honors ceremony.
\n\nThe gala, which directly funds the organization’s advocacy, research and career programs, will be held on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
\n\nAbdy, co-chair and CEO of Warner Bros. Motion Picture Group, will receive WIF’s inaugural Vanguard Award. The prize recognizes the breadth of Abdy’s career, with a particular acknowledgment of her tenure at the studio, where she has overseen blockbusters and award darlings including “One Battle After Another,” “Sinners,” “Barbie,” “Weapons,” and “Dune: Part Two.” Last year, Warner Bros. tied the all-time studio record with 11 Academy Awards from an industry-leading 30 nominations.
\n\nAbdy will be presented the award by Nancy Meyers, after the studio backed Meyers’ first film in more than a decade. The comedy, starring Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Emma Mackey and Owen Wilson, is currently in production and slated for release on Christmas Day 2027.
