J. Smith-Cameron is heading to the courthouse.
\n\nThe Emmy nominee has joined the upcoming Season 28 of “Law & Order: SVU” in a recurring role. She will play jury consultant Gwen Sharpe, but plot details relating to her character are kept under wraps.
\n\nSmith-Cameron is best known for playing Gerri Kellman across four seasons of HBO’s “Succession.” The role earned her nominations for two Emmy nominations, a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice Award. She won two SAG Awards for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series.
\n\nSmith-Cameron will next be seen in “Seven Sisters,” which was recently picked up to series by FX, opposite Elizabeth Olsen and Cristin Milioti. She will also co-star in Jeff Rutherford’s upcoming sophomore feature film, “In Our Sweet Way.” Her TV credits also include “Hacks,” “Elsbeth,” “Murdaugh: A Death in the Family,” “Rectify” and “Waco: The Aftermath.”
\n\nIn 2024, Smith-Cameron made her West End debut in the stage production “Juno and the Paycock.” And in 2023 in New York, she starred in “Love Letters” opposite Victor Garber at the Irish Repertory Theatre.
