Jalen Brunson is officially heading to “Law & Order: SVU.” NBC has confirmed that the New York Knicks star will make a guest appearance in an episode of Season 28 of the beloved procedural.
\n\nSeason 28 of “SVU” will debut on Oct. 8. Brunson will guest star in the episode airing Nov. 5. Exact character details are under wraps, so it is unclear if he will play himself, a police officer who investigates these vicious felonies, or something different altogether.
\n\nBrunson and “SVU” star Mariska Hargitay have a longstanding friendship, given her presence at Knicks games over the years. After the Knicks won their first NBA Championship in 53 years back in June, Brunson said he would “try to get on ‘SVU'” when asked what he would do in the off season.
\n\nHargitay has also been vocal about Brunson appearing on the show, telling Variety in August “It’s definitely happening. He’s kind of magnificent that way. He is just open and ready. I don’t think there is much Jalen can’t do.”
