“Furious” has been renewed for Season 2 at Hulu.
\n\nThe thriller series starring Emmy Rossum has become a breakout hit for the streamer, with viewership growing week over week since its July 27 premiere date. The finale of the eight-episode Season 1 of “Furious” airs on Monday, Aug. 31.
\n\nFrom Elizabeth Meriwether — the mind behind “New Girl,” “The Dropout” and “Dying for Sex” — “Furious” follows an FBI agent named Alice Black (Rossum), who is chasing down a mysterious and calculating female serial killer (Lola Petticrew). Per the logline, “Both walk their own paths toward justice, and as their lives start to intertwine, the line between right and wrong begins to blur.”
\n\n“Furious” is loosely inspired by the 1987 psychological thriller film “Black Widow” from director Bob Rafelson. The series order was first announced by Hulu in March 2025.
\n\nStarring alongside Rossum and Petticrew are Quincy Tyler Bernstine and Scoot McNairy, as well as guest stars Jake Lacy, Rob Delaney, Hope Davis, Rob Yang and Steve Way.
