The “Far Cry” TV series at FX is continuing to build out an all-star cast.
\n\nVariety has learned that Brendan Gleeson (“The Banshees of Inisherin,” “In Bruges”), Jennifer Jason Leigh (“The Hateful Eight,” FX’s “Fargo”), Hamish Linklater (“Widow’s Bay,” “Midnight Mass”), Sam Spruell (“A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” FX’s “Alien: Earth”), and Jamie Demetriou (“Stath Lets Flats,” “The Afterparty”) are all set to appear in the first season of the series, which is based on the video game franchise of the same name.
\n\nThe five new additions join previously announced lead and co-creator Rob Mac and fellow cast members Lizzy Caplan and Steve Buscemi.
\n\nThe series was first reported to be set up at FX in November 2025 from creators Noah Hawley and Mac. Exact plot and character details remain under wraps, but the series will follow an anthology format like the “Far Cry” games and feature a different cast and setting each season.
