The Netflix series adaptation of “Icebreaker” has found its two leads.
\n\nVariety has learned exclusively that Daisy Jelley and Connor Simos will star in the series take on the Hannah Grace novel of the same name in the roles of Anastasia “Stassie” Allen and Nate Hawkins, respectively. The show was originally announced at Netflix back in June.
\n\nThe logline for the show states, “She’s the transfer gunning for Olympic gold. He’s the campus star chasing the NHL. But when an accident forces their teams to share one rink, Anastasia Allen and Nate Hawkins collide—and discipline gives way to obsession, because the only thing more dangerous than wanting to win is wanting each other.”
\n\nJelley previously appeared in the Netflix series “Geek Girl,” which was itself based on the YA novel of the same name, while she will also star in the upcoming original series “Poser” at the streamer. In film, she has been in features like “How to Have Sex.” “Icebreaker” will mark Simos’ first credited TV role. He will next be seen in the thriller film “Subversion,” which stars Chris Hemsworth and Lily James.
