\n\nIt's a welcome turn of events for Trump, who has seen an unusually high number of his picks (six) lose Republican primaries this month, including three last week.
\n\nFormer state Sen. Mike Mazzei has secured the Republican nomination for governor in Oklahoma, NBC News projects, a victory for Trump’s preferred candidate.
\n\nMazzei narrowly defeated state Attorney General Gentner Drummond by about 2,000 votes in the GOP primary runoff.
\n\nAs he was waiting for more election results, Steve Kornacki talked about where some viewers are watching from abroad.
