A 32-year-old Bank of America vice president was killed Monday afternoon after authorities say an emotionally disturbed woman started stabbing people in the heart of Times Square.
\n\nErin Piacenti, from Chester, New Jersey, was stabbed in the abdomen, according to the New York Police Department.
\n\nShe was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time after the attack in the tourist-heavy area near 41st Street and Seventh Avenue.
\n\nBank of America confirmed Piacenti was a vice president within Business Selection and Conflicts in Global Corporate and Investment Banking.
\n\n“We are shocked and deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague. She was a valued teammate who will be greatly missed,” the bank said in a statement. “Our hearts go out to her family and all of her loved ones.”
\n\nPolice say Pamela Cisneros, the 49-year-old Queens woman shot dead by police after killing Piacenti and stabbing a 68-year-old man during the afternoon spree, had a documented history of mental health concerns.
