Peacock has set the premiere date for “Ted: The Animated Series.”
\n\nThe animated followup to the live-action “Ted” movies will premiere with its first eight episodes on Dec. 17. Additional episodes will air in 2027.
\n\n“Ted: The Animated” series was announced in May 2025 and is set 12 years after the events of “Ted” and “Ted 2.” As previously announced, Seth MacFarlane will once again voice the titular teddy bear come to life, with Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried and Jessica Barth reprising their film roles as John, Sam and Tami-Lynn, respectively. In addition, Kyle Mooney will voice the new character Apollo, while Liz Richman will voice Ruth.
\n\nThe logline for the show states, “Picking up twelve years after the conclusion of the last movie, John (Wahlberg) and his thunder-buddy Ted (MacFarlane) are neighbors, both with families of their own and dead-end jobs. Follow these two lovable stoners as they enable each other’s bad ideas about marriage, parenting and the challenges of adult life.”
