Tech Leaders Attend Trump-Xi Banquet at White HouseThe billionaire leaders of some of the world’s biggest tech companies were in attendance as US president Donald Trump hosted his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping at the White House. The world’s richest person, Elon Musk, was pictured alongside Trump and the First Lady, while Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Google CEO Sundar Pichai and former Apple CEO Tim Cook were also present. Several other tech leaders were listed among invited guests such as Google cofounder Sergey Brin, ByteDance investor Jeff Yass, Dell CEO Michael Dell, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, and OpenAI president Greg Brockman. Xi’s state visit to the US has coincided with the United Nations General Assembly, although the Chinese president did not address the meeting. The start of the visit saw Trump stage a rare welcome for a foreign leader when he met Xi on the tarmac upon arrival at Joint Base Andrews.
