Star Meat Delivery Inc. of Lucama, North Carolina, is recalling approximately 167,639 pounds of raw pork, beef and goat products, according to a U.S. Department of Agriculture announcement posted Tuesday.
\n\nThe items were produced without the benefit of federal inspection, meaning they weren’t confirmed to be “safe, wholesome and properly labeled” by the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
\n\nThe recalled meat is also labeled with a false USDA mark of inspection, the announcement added.
\n\nThis recall has been classified as class I, the highest health risk. This classification refers to “a situation in which there is a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death,” according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
\n\nAny meat product produced by Star Meat Delivery Inc. with an inspection and establishment number that reads “EST. 1363” is falsely labeled, according to the announcement. Consider it misbranded and unsafe to eat, the FSIS warned.
\n\nThe vacuum-sealed raw pork, beef and goat products were produced on various dates before Sept. 22, 2026.
