Celebrating 50 years, “Charlie’s Angels” stars Kate Jackson, Cheryl Ladd and Jaclyn Smith reunited for one more mission as presenters at the 78th Emmy Awards on Monday night.
\n\nThe trio walked out to a standing ovation. Before presenting the best drama Emmy to “The Pitt,” Smith honored Farrah Fawcett. “As I said many times, she’s here and she’s here with us in everyone’s collective memory.”
\n\nJackson said Fawcett “was the shiniest angel of all, and she was loved by millions of people all over the world. And she still is today. And they’ll never forget her and neither will we. And I’m sure you won’t either.”
\n\nLadd added, “Her iconic poster lives in the minds and the garages of many a man.”
\n\nThe ABC adventure-crime drama series, created by Ivan Goff and Ben Roberts, ran for five seasons from 1976 to 1981. Jackson starred as Sabrina Duncan, Ladd was Kristine “Kris” Munroe and Smith played Kelly Garrett on the series. “A wealthy mystery man named Charlie runs a detective agency via a speakerphone and his personal assistant,” read the show’s logline. “His detectives are three beautiful women who end up in a variety of difficult situations.”
