Katseye member Sophia Laforteza will not be joining the group for the U.K. and European dates of their upcoming “Wildworld” tour, which is scheduled to launch on Tuesday.
\n\nIn a statement posted to social media, Katseye‘s label said that Laforteza is committed to “focusing on her well-being” after announcing her temporary hiatus from the group in early August. “The company remains fully committed to providing her with all the support and resources needed,” reads the statement. “Sophia will not be participating in THE WILDWORLD TOUR in Europe and the UK scheduled from September 1 through September 17.”
\n\nThe message continues, “We sincerely ask for EYEKONS’ warm understanding, as our highest priority will always be the health and long-term well-being of our artists. We will share further updates as they become available. Please continue to send your love, warmth, and support to Sophia and KATSEYE.”
\n\nSeveral hours after the official announcement was made, Laforteza posted on her Instagram Story, apologizing for missing the tour and saying that she’s been in “ongoing treatment”:
