Fox News has signed former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt as an on-air contributor, the conservative cable news network announced Monday.
\n\nLeavitt, 29, served as President Donald Trump’s top spokesperson and one of the administration’s key public faces until she stepped down in late August. She was the youngest White House press secretary in American history.
\n\n“Karoline’s firsthand experience in the White House and on the presidential campaign trail gives her a distinct understanding of today’s political landscape,” Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said in a statement. “We look forward to her providing our audience with authentic and sharp insight across all Fox News Media platforms.”
\n\nShe will start her new role “providing commentary and analysis” on Nov. 1, Fox said.
\n\nLeavitt, who gave birth to her second child in May, left the Trump administration at the end of August after working as press secretary since the start of the president’s second term. She departed the West Wing to “spend more time with her beautiful young children and family,” Trump said in an Aug. 12 social media post.
