\n\nThe MTV Video Music Awards return Sunday night with one of the show’s biggest lineups in years, including Madonna’s first VMA performance in more than two decades, a Dolly Parton tribute from Kacey Musgraves and the world premiere of a new Taylor Swift music video.
\n\nThe 2026 MTV VMAs air live Sunday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The ceremony will broadcast on CBS and simulcast on MTV, while cord-cutters can stream the entire show live on Paramount+. While Paramount+ costs $8.99/month, viewers can also stream the VMAs live online free through DirecTV, currently offering a 5-day trial.
