Hayden Panettiere‘s death was caused by the toxic effects of fentanyl and other drugs, the Greenville County Coroner’s Office confirmed to Variety on Tuesday.
\n\n“The cause of death has been ruled as toxic effects of fentanyl, 4-ANPP, Alprazolam, Methocarbamol and Quetiapine,” the coroner’s official statement said. “The manner of death has been ruled accident.”
\n\nThe actress, known for her roles in “Heroes,” “Nashville,” “Scream 4” and “Scream VI,” died on Aug. 16 in Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of 36. Her father, Skip Panettiere, confirmed her death to ABC News.
\n\n“It is with profound sadness that we share the tragic passing of our beloved Hayden. She was an incredible light and a force of nature who brought immeasurable love and joy to all who knew her — and to the millions who watched her onscreen,” her father said in a statement.
