The Hawk Fire, which started out as a small bushfire has now spread to over 10,500 acres. Traffic camera footage showed the fire blazing near Highway 395 close to Red Rock, Nevada.

A fast-growing wildfire destroying homes in northwest Reno, Nevada, on Sunday was human-caused and uncontained, authorities said, as they encouraged some 90,000 people to evacuate. The Hawk Fire began Saturday and quickly grew to 20 square miles (53 square kilometres) as it spread across the Peavine Peak area of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.
