Dolly Parton‘s hit 1980 comedy “9 to 5” will return to theaters next month for one week in the wake of the country superstar’s death on Aug. 25 at age 80. All U.S. ticket sales will be donated to The Dollywood Foundation to support its flagship program, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
\n\n“9 to 5” will be back in theaters from Oct. 9-15. Disney made the announcement on Sept. 25, aka the new annual “Give Like Dolly Day.” The celebration, an homage to the film’s title, encourages people around the world to make a difference in a child’s life and honor Parton’s lifelong mission of inspiring kids to “dream more, learn more, care more and be more.” Since it was founded in 1995, Parton’s Imagination Library has donated more than 300 million books to children around the world, and each month it sends out 3 million books directly to kids’ homes. Children who are enrolled receive one book per month from birth to age five, at no cost to families.
