Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb’s Texas home was burglarized in late July, and $300,000 worth of property was stolen while he was at training camp, police said.
\n\nIt’s the latest hit in a string of brazen burglaries targeting affluent athletes in recent years.
\n\nPolice responded to Lamb’s home in Fairview, Texas, the afternoon of July 31 on a report of a home burglary.
\n\nWhen police arrived, they met with “individuals representing Mr. Lamb” who showed them a broken window on the side of the home where the burglars likely entered, Fairview police said in a statement Sunday.
\n\nEvidence pointed to a single suspect entering and exiting through that window, taking “several high-end personal items,” officials said. More than $300,000 worth of property was stolen, including four luxury bags, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported, citing the police report.
\n\nAn investigation remains underway to find the suspect.
\n\nThe 27-year-old football star was at training camp with the team in Oxnard, California, at the time of the burglary.
\n\nNBC News has reached out to Lamb’s representative for comment. Lamb was selected by the Cowboys in the first round of the 2020 NFL draft.
\n\nThe burglary marks yet another incident in a spate…
