Actor and filmmaker Ben Stiller will moderate a conversation with William Shatner as part of the “Star Trek” panel at New York Comic-Con this Saturday, Variety has learned exclusively.
\n\nIt was previously reported that Shatner would take part in the panel, which comes as the “Star Trek” franchise is celebrating its 60th anniversary. The panel will take place on Oct. 10 from 3:15-4:15 pm ET on the Empire Stage at NYCC. In addition to the conversation between Shatner and Stiller, the panel will also feature the cast and creators of “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy” Season 2, moderated by Collider’s Perri Nemiroff.
\n\nStiller is a lifelong “Star Trek” fan and has frequently spoken about the impact the original series had on him and his career. He and Shatner have also collaborated a number of times in the past. Those collaborations include Stiller appearing in the documentary “The Truth Is in the Stars,” which Shatner hosted, while Shatner had a cameo alongside Stiller in the hit comedy feature “Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story.”
