All ICE officers will have body cameras by end of August, director says

The accelerated rollout follows several high-profile shootings involving ICE officers who were not wearing body cameras.

All Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers and agents in the field will be equipped with body cameras by the end of August, acting ICE Director David Venturella told NBC News Saturday, accelerating a nationwide rollout announced after the fatal shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in July.
