Adam Brody is calling for a “free Palestine” and explaining why his political activism doesn’t come up more often during his red-carpet and press appearances.
\n\n“I just answer the questions I’m asked,” the actor told GQ. “And it’s true. I’m not wearing a pin, so I’m not inviting a certain question, and perhaps I should. I really admire people who do. But 99% of what I’m asked about is about the show. I’m not trying to plead ignorance—here we are doing a political interview, so it makes sense that we wade into this territory—but I’ve never ducked a question, really, not a political question anyway.”
\n\nThe “O.C.” actor explained that while he hadn’t spoken publicly about the Israel-Gaza issue before, it comes up “a lot” for him in private. He then made his stance on the conflict clear: “Put me down as thinking it’s a genocide,” he said. “Put me down as wanting a free Palestine. It’s awful that it’s taken so much death and misery, but it does feel like it’s reaching a breaking point that it should have a while ago.”
